North & East is always happy to support any community development initiatives led by our tenants whenever possible. One such endeavour was the 6- week painting class led by our Tenant and Artist Philomena.  With the help of our friends in the Connect Family Resource Centre in Moneymore, Philomena helped a group of local women find their inner Van Gogh and as the photos and comments  below show not only were new skills learned but new friendships formed as well. With Winter drawing in it’s time to consider taking up a new hobby and that is just what some of our residents in McArdle Green, Moneymore have done. North & East tenant Philomena has just finished hosting a very successful 6 week painting class in the Connect Family Resource Centre with all participants taking home a finished canvas every week. New skills were leaned and new friendhips made over coffee and cakes and of course paints.

North & East Housing Association has launched its Annual Report for 2018. The year  was a significant one for the Association marking 25 years since its establishment. It was also the year in which the Association provided the highest number of new homes in one year since its foundation. These 67 homes provided in Monaghan, Meath, Fingal, Cavan, Louth and Dublin City together with a number of relets means that 75 households were housed from local authority social housing waiting lists.

North & East Housing Association is delighted to be launching a new three-year Tenant Engagement Strategy. While building on the strong commitment the Association always had to putting the tenants and communities at the heart of what we do, this is the commencement of a new journey for tenants, staff and board of NEHA. The strategy lays out commitments that we are making to engage, communicate and actively listen to the tenants of North & East allowing their experiences to effect the decisions made in all areas of the organisation.

Last Saturday the residents of MacArdle Green organised their annual estate clean up. Young and old got stuck in to help ensure that the area continues to look its best in the summer sunshine. As you can see from the photos, it wasn’t all hard work and a bit if fun was had as well.

North & East Housing Association has been involved in social housing provision for some 25 years and currently own/manage over 500 properties in the North Eastern region of the country.   We now have an opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our existing team within our Dublin office. The successful candidate will work across the whole organisation to ensure the efficient day to day operation of North & East office.
