North & East is delighted to have been shortlisted for the category of Best Housing Development in the CiH Housing awards for our development at Millrace Court, Emmet St. Trim, Co. Meath.  This Development was purchased under a turnkey arrangement by North & East Housing Association in June 2018 with funding provided under Rebuilding Ireland and the Housing Finance Agency. Millrace Court is an example of the development of a town centre brown field site that not only provides good quality housing for those on Meath County Council’s waiting lists but also enhances the streetscape of a prominent street in a large rural town.

The accommodation consists of 11 homes and is a mix of family housing and housing for single people and couples in an aesthetically pleasing development in the heart of the town surrounded by all the essential amenities that Trim has to offer.

All families allocated the homes were nominated from Meath County Council social housing waiting list and all attended a pre-tenancy course facilitated by North & East housing staff. The estate has a dedicated Housing Officer to oversee the management of the estate in accordance with North & East Housing Policies and Procedures.  In line with our Tenant Engagement Strategy, we look forward to taking on board our tenants’ feedback in relation to their homes and to assisting them in developing their new community into the future.
